Annabel Alder
Clinical Registered Dietician
Hello. I’m Annabel.
I have 20 years’ experience as a registered dietitian, working in leading teaching hospitals in London and Brighton. Many of these years have been spent within specialist kidney units and supporting those with diabetes?
My private practice is now my focus and I look forward to working with those who live in our beautiful local area.
What can I support you with?
– Chronic kidney disease:
1 in 7 of us will develop CKD but, sadly, most won’t qualify for NHS care. That doesn’t mean you have no control over the progression of disease. You do!
– Pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes:
Newly diagnosed? Or, perhaps you’ve just not had the confidence to get on top of it and the years are rolling by? Let’s work together and find some small, easily achievable changes that can make a big difference.
Or are you juggling both CKD and diabetes? An internet search can leave you thinking that the optimal diets for chronic kidney disease and diabetes are incompatible. I can assure you that this isn’t the case.
– Struggling with the menopausal transition?
No time to focus on you and feeling achy, tired, sleepless, lacking in energy and bombarded with promises of miracle supplements? Enough is enough! Let’s separate the science from the ‘superfoods’ and talk about your needs for a change.
– Influencer-itis?
Perhaps you just feel your diet and lifestyle is in a rut and social media has stunned you into inaction. Let’s explore not only the What’s of eating but also the Why’s and How’s. What stories do you tell yourself and do you spend more time beating yourself up for your food and lifestyle choices than nourishing yourself?
Whatever you are struggling with, my goal is for you to feel better informed and in control of your diet and health?
